You suddenly realize that this meeting is very important because you are delivering a presentation for the first time.  You need to be a sensation.  You need to capture everyone’s attention.  You need to be “on”…but you feel like you can’t get your engine started.

A few years ago, I felt like I was lugging myself up and down the back stairs as we completed rounds at the hospital.  I was the only one who was overweight in my group and felt like I was the only one who would literally collapse after climbing two flights of stairs.

Why choose me?

Well, I am a Renegade at heart.  I was born to question the “rules”.   I think like no one else when it comes to reaching a healthy weight and feeling vibrant.  

Since my early 20s, I have been researching (and experimenting with) strategies to reduce my weight, how to have more control of my eating habits and how to feel more amazing each day.  It has been a fascinating journey as I combined both research and education with my experiments. 

With all of it combined, it has helped me understand the diversity of weight loss outcomes and the underlying psychology of the entire process.  This is why I use multiple modalities when it comes to reaching health goals!  Helping others feel more alive as they ditch the beliefs that limit their progress is at the center of everything I do.  

Helping others reach a healthy weight is my passion.  This is what I live for and this passion fuels my service to others! I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.  And I believe that everything can be (and likely should be) modified.  It’s the rigid mentality of it “must be ‘this’ way” that prevents us from moving forward.  It’s the mentality of “no kindness to self” that is most destructive.

The story I used to tell myself was that I was an “all or nothing gal”.  To an extent, that is still true in some areas of my life.  But when it came to dietary practices, I was rigid.  I was either “on” or “off” the plan. I was either eating healthy, or I was saying screw it.  It took me a while to learn to set standards and be true to them, while allowing flexibility and promoting love of self.

Before embarking on this last weight loss journey in 2014, I knew I could feel better.  I remembered a time (years ago?!) when I felt vibrant…when I could run for 2 miles and feel exhilarated afterwards.  Or I could get through a 50-minute kickboxing routine and feel like I was on top of the world.  I wondered how I had gotten to the point of barely being able to climb a few flights of stairs without feeling like I would collapse at the top, literally!  I wondered what it would feel like again to feel rejuvenated…to feel alive and simply vibrant!

During the first consultation, we will define what’s important for you to achieve in the 4 weeks we will be working together.  Keep in mind that this is bootcamp-style, so make your goal tangible and something you will feel good about accomplishing.  Give yourself the chance to get a small (but important) win!!

On subsequent calls, we will go over the previous week, discuss things that came up for you, and then set ourselves up for success for the following week.  I’ll provide guidance on how to keep moving forward and draw out the potential that lies deep within you.
